This is the extended length theme from the 1992 replacement programme Parallel 9 and runs for over a minute. Quite probably the best theme tune that any Saturday Morning show has had.

It's Wicked! Titles
[1987]

These are the titles from the 1987 summer show It's Wicked!

Unfortunately, once the titles had finished it was downhill from there for the show - it was truely dreadful!

On The Waterfront Titles
[1988]

The titles for On The Waterfront weren't the most inspiring, but the show itself was very good indeed and helped to kill off the memories of the hideous It's Wicked!...

UP2U Titles
[1988]

Quite possibly the worst titles for not just a Saturday Mornings programme, but programmes in general were owned by UP2U.

The show shared the summers of 1988 and 1989 with On The Waterfront and attempted to bring interactivity with the viewers at home encouraged to mail and phone in to affect the course of the show's content.

The Flashing Blade - Video Shop
[1989 - Broadcast 2005]

The Flashing Blade was a dubbed French serial that graced the children's schedules in the late 1970s.

On The Waterfront had a marvellous segment where they showed an edited and redubbed version. The thing was the dialogue had little to do with the actual plot, and subsequently was hilarious.

This sequence illustrates the rather odd fixation the serial had with cotton buds...

The Flashing Blade - Waistcoat Salesman
[1989 - Broadcast 2005]

More dubbed lunacy - this time Flash comes face to face with a waistcoat salesman!

This (and the previous clip) came from a programme profiling writer Russell T Davies who just happened to write the 'new' version of Flashing Blade.
